Silver Helms are my favorite calvary. Unlike most people I like to heavily arm them. This is good as long as you are able to charge the enemy. They are good to break weak units and start panic going around. I field these in any sized army and sometimes use standards and musicians. To give the army better strength, mount your army leader on an elven steed and put him as the units leader.

Dragon Princes are very strong. Like the Silver Helms get them to charge the enemy as soon as you can. Having magic banners at half the price allows to choose from a wide range without going overboard on the point cost.

Ellyrian reavers are good value for their price. I like to use them for their archery. You can use them like the shadow warriors and shoot the crew of war machines. Or you can go crazy and run up infront of the enemy and shoot at them, and when they charge you use the option to shoot and flee.
